Protecting your earlobes

If your earlobes get irritated, itchy and sore from costume earrings, try this trick. Coat the posts and backs of the earrings with clear nail polish and let them dry completely. The thin layer will create a protective barrier and you can wear them without worries.

Cracked eyeglasses lens

Temporarily seal the crack on your eyeglasses with a light application of clear nail polish. As it dries, the polish will bind the broken portions together.

Damaged wooden hanger

To protect your garments from any accidents, due to nicks and rough edges on your wooden hangers, apply a coat of clear nail polish to the uneven areas. The product will leave a hard layer that will smooth the jagged wood.

Get rid of warts

Apply a thick coat of clear nail polish to the area where the wart is growing. The product will create an airtight seal over the spot, suffocating and eventually wiping out the development.

Protect your heels

To prevent scrapes and scratches on your shoes heels, paint some clear nail polish on them. The gloss will add a layer of protection. Apply as needed.

Small scratch in car’s paint

When the mark is too small to take the car to a body shop, dip the tip of a straightened paper clip into matching touch-up paint and apply to the center of the scratch. Grab a small and thin paper clip and unravel one end. Align the loose arm with the frame, insert the straightened wire into the empty screw holes and cut off the extra metal.
